About

Welcome to Cozy Bites Daily! I’m Sophia Bennett, the recipe developer, writer, and passionate home cook behind every dish you see here. My food journey began in my grandmother’s cozy Midwestern kitchen, where I learned that the most memorable meals aren’t about perfection—they’re about creating moments of connection.
After spending twelve years as an elementary school teacher in Chicago, I took a leap of faith in 2019 to pursue my culinary passion full-time. What started as weekend recipe testing and a small Instagram account has blossomed into this warm corner of the internet where I get to share my love for approachable, comforting food.
My cooking philosophy is simple: delicious doesn’t need to be difficult. I create recipes that work for busy weeknights, leisurely Sunday dinners, and everything in between. Every dish on Cozy Bites Daily has been tested multiple times in my modest kitchen with standard equipment—because I believe extraordinary meals can come from ordinary kitchens.
My culinary inspiration comes from my mixed heritage (half Italian, half Southern), the changing seasons here in Michigan where I now live, and the joy of feeding the people I love. I’m particularly passionate about updating classic comfort foods with modern twists, baking bread that’s actually foolproof, and creating meals that stretch your dollar without sacrificing flavor.
When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll find me tending to my vegetable garden, browsing local farmers markets, or curled up with a cookbook and my rescue cat, Muffin. These quiet moments often spark my most creative recipe ideas.
What truly fuels my passion is hearing how my recipes have become part of your family’s table—the pasta bake that’s now your go-to for potlucks, or the cookie recipe your kids request every weekend. These stories remind me why I do what I do.
I believe food is a universal language of care. Whether you’re cooking for yourself after a long day or gathering loved ones for a special occasion, I hope the recipes you find here bring comfort, joy, and a sense of home to your table.
Thank you for being here. Let’s make something delicious together!
Warmly,
Sophia
